Welcome current, former, and future Small Steps Families!


Open enrollment typically begins in January and closes at the end of February. During that time period, we welcome you to come by Small Steps to get to know us, ask questions, and pick up or return your application.

In order to attend Small Steps, your child must be between the ages of 2 and 5 years old as of September 1, 2017. Small Steps also requires the following of its students and their families:

  • The student must live in one of the following zip codes: 77003, 77007, 77008,  77009, 77019, 77020, and 77026.
  • The student’s family must qualify for the free portion of the National School Lunch Program. For more detailed information on qualifying for the free portion of the National School Lunch Program click here.
  • The student’s family must complete 10 tuition hours each school year by volunteering at the school, including a minimum of 4 parent education events.

2017–2018 School Year Important Admissions Dates

January 17, 2017: Open enrollment period begins. Applications accepted for the 2017-2018 school year.
February 24, 2017: Open enrollment period ends.
April 17, 2017:  All applicants will be notified about the status of their applications.
